Terms of service

These are the rules for using Sortello. I've kept them short and plain. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Who I am

What Sortello is

Sortello is a place to keep notes, tasks and tables. You use it in the browser, and your AI assistant, such as Claude, reads and writes it through a connector.

Your account

You sign in through our account service. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and that includes what an assistant you've connected does there on your behalf.

Your content

What you put in Sortello is yours, and so is what Claude writes there for you. I don't claim any rights to it. I store it so the service works, and show it to you and to the people you share it with.

You're responsible for what you store and share. Don't use Sortello for anything illegal, to harass people, to spread malware, or to share things you don't have the right to share. Write to support@gofranz.com to report abuse. If something breaks these rules, I can turn off the link, and in serious or repeated cases suspend or close the account.

Free and Pro

Free costs nothing and comes with the limits on the pricing page. Pro costs €60 a year plus VAT where it applies, and is billed once a year by card through Stripe. VAT is worked out at checkout from your billing address; a business with a valid EU VAT ID is reverse-charged and pays none.

Pro renews automatically each year until you cancel it in Settings. After you cancel, it keeps running until the end of the year you paid for. If I raise the price, you keep yours for as long as your subscription runs.

You have 14 days after each payment to change your mind. Write to support@gofranz.com and you get that payment back in full.

When Pro ends, nothing is deleted. You keep your data and can open, edit and export all of it. While you're over a Free limit, Sortello refuses new tables, new public links and new uploads until you're back under it.

I don't sell Pro to customers in the UK at the moment.

Availability

I work to keep Sortello running and your data intact, but I can't promise it will never be down or that nothing will ever go wrong. Sortello is provided as is. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose; the export in Settings gives you everything in one file.

Liability

As far as the law allows, my liability for anything that goes wrong is limited to what you've paid me for Sortello. This doesn't take away any rights you have as a consumer that a contract can't limit.

Ending

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. I can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

I may change these terms. When I do, I'll tell you in the app or by email, and the date at the top changes.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
